Letting Go When You Need to Let Go!

Have you ever had a friend who has been with you since grade school, high school, college, and maybe university? They will be the first person on your contacts (well, maybe apart from your spouse), the person you go to when there’s a problem.
But not everyone is a sweet looking friend with your best interest in mind. They may be working against you. I’m not saying that every friend in the world is bad (Lol, if that were true, then everyone would be an enemy). But some of them can be pretty sneaky. Read this scripture below:
"And a man's enemies will be those of his own household" - Matthew 10:36
Do you see what the scripture suggests? Basically, it’s saying that people who are close to you: your best friend , your classmates, even your siblings and parents can turn against you.
There are no obvious ‘symptoms’ that manifest if someone dislikes you. But with God’s help and guidance, and discernment you can know who the real enemy is. Although there are no definite symptoms, let me post a few red flags below:

The person always wants to know about you.
The person is always trying to get the inside ‘scoop’.
The person says they are happy for you about something then talks behind your back.
The person promises to do something but never gets around to it.
These are just a few of the things that you will notice about a person like that. God will have to show you the real deal about that person.
But what should I do? You might ask. The first thing is to pray to God. Ask Him, “Does that person really have my best interest in mind as a friend?”
Then disconnect from that friend. That person obviously doesn’t have your best interest in mind. But ask God first.
I watched a movie called Prophet Suddenly. (An awesome movie by the way! Check out the Winlos on YouTube!) The prophet in the movie basically took advantage of a growing family for his success. Here’s the link below:
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Thank you for reading.
